Job Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced property professional to lead the strategic development, management, and optimization of our property portfolio. This includes driving asset strategies for acquisitions, divestments, redevelopment, and renewals to ensure property decisions meet operational and financial objectives.
Australia Post's property portfolio comprises approximately 1,600 assets nationally, including industrial and logistics properties, retail outlets, and heritage sites. These assets support diverse operational needs such as retail services, letter and parcel facilities, and transport hubs.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Develop long-term property plans to secure tenure and support growth while leveraging capital efficiently.
* Deliver innovative solutions to meet evolving customer and operational needs in industrial, retail, and heritage property sectors.
* Lead the implementation of a property strategy ensuring alignment with enterprise objectives, including asset optimization and future network planning.
* Manage land banking and catchment planning to secure critical logistics property pipeline.
* Oversee a large-scale property portfolio, ensuring efficient capital use through rigorous financial modelling and scenario analysis.
* Raise capital by structuring and executing monetization strategies for owned properties.
* Provide financial recommendations for buy vs. lease scenarios, greenfield developments, and sale-and-leaseback options.
You'll Need
* Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, or related field.
* Strong financial acumen, particularly in property valuation and transaction structuring.
* Extensive experience in handling large-scale corporate real estate, property investment & transactions, portfolio and capital management.
* Deep understanding of the Australian property market, including logistics, industrial, and retail trends.
* Familiarity with regulations affecting property development, leasing, and asset sales.
* Leadership experience in managing large-scale portfolios and diverse teams.
* Experience in delivering results cross-functionality, in a complex, matrix environment.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, engaging with diverse stakeholders.
