Wood fired Pizzaiolo chef
Pizzaiolo chef's duties include preparing and cooking pizzas by making dough, topping pizzas with ingredients, and baking them in an oven. They are also responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitized workspace, managing inventory and supplies, and ensuring the quality of all food products. Other duties may involve creating new recipes, training junior staff, and collaborating with other kitchen and front-of-house staff. Core duties
* Pizza preparation:Making pizza dough from scratch, stretching out, and topping it with sauce, cheese, and other ingredients according to recipes or customer requests.
* Cooking:Operating wood fired pizza ovens, monitoring temperature and cooking times to ensure the pizza is cooked correctly.
* Quality control:Ensuring the quality of ingredients and finished pizzas before they are served.
* Sanitation:Keeping the work station, utensils, and all cooking equipment clean and sanitized.
Additional responsibilities
* Inventory and ordering:Monitoring food stock, managing supplies, and placing orders for new ingredients.
* Menu and recipe development:Creating new pizza recipes and designing menu items.
* Staff training: Training other cooks on pizza-making techniques and ensuring consistency in the final product.
* Customer service: Handling customer complaints or special requests with diplomacy.
* Collaboration: Working with other kitchen and serving staff to ensure timely and smooth service.
