Your Impact
As Kitchen Manager, you'll lead and mentor a dedicated team to deliver high-quality meals tailored to residents' needs. You'll oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and excellence in every dish served.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership and inspire kitchen staff to deliver exceptional food service
Develop and implement seasonal, dietician-approved menus (including IDDSI texture-modified diets)
Ensure food safety compliance (HACCP), audits, and accreditation standards
Manage inventory, procurement, rostering, and budget control
Collaborate with clinical teams, residents, and families to ensure satisfaction
Maintain kitchen hygiene and cleanliness standards
Drive continuous improvement and staff development initiatives
About You
Certificate IV in Kitchen Management or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery, or equivalent
Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar leadership role within Aged Care
Strong leadership, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills
High standard of food preparation and productivity
Solid understanding of aged care catering standards
Experience in budget management and cost control
Excellent communication and time management skills
Compassionate, resident-focused approach
