Job Title: Commis (Pastry)
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, preparing and cooking high-quality food to the highest standards. As a commis chef, you will be responsible for assisting senior chefs in the preparation of dishes, maintaining a clean and safe working environment, and ensuring that all food is presented to a high standard.
About the Job
* To prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist, establishing priority items.
* To monitor food quality while preparing food.
* To serve food in proper portions onto dishes, plates, mugs, and bowls, ensuring proper plate appearance.
* To wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
Requirements
* Certificate 3 in Cookery or equivalent qualification.
* COVID Hygiene Certificate from Australian Hotels Association.
* I'm Alert Food Safety Certification desirable from City of Perth.
* Unrestricted working rights for Australia.
