About The Opportunity
Liverpool Hospital is looking for a librarian to join the library team in providing information, training and assistance to the hospital staff for high quality patient care, research and continuing professional development.
What You'll Be Doing
The Librarian provides the delivery of high-quality, client-focused information resources and library services to SWSLHD staff and affiliated students, under the direction of the Library Manager and the Senior Librarian eServices. Primary areas of service provision include facilitating information access, research support, research skills training and client assistance in the day to day operation of the Library service. Additionally, the position is responsible for the functioning of the Ken Merten Library in the absence of the Library Manager and the Senior Librarian eServices.

1. Recognised Degree or Postgraduate Diploma in Librarianship / Information Studies with eligibility for Associate (professional/librarian) membership to the Australian Library and Information Association.
2. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of searching online databases, bibliographic management, reference services and delivery of research skills training.
3. Demonstrated high level of professionalism and commitment to quality client services and the ability to work flexibly in a changing environment.
4. Demonstrated excellent liaison, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, including the ability to promote library services and resources while building relationships across a range of professional and disciplinary areas.
To be eligible for permanent appointment to a position in NSW Health, you must have an Australian citizenship or permanent Australian residency.
