Details: The Office of the Senior Practitioner provides leadership and oversight across disability, care and protection and education services in the ACT, with the goal of avoiding, reducing and eliminating restrictive practices, in favour of positive alternatives that preserve the individual person's rights and freedoms. The branch engages with a variety of stakeholders to promote continuous improvement and quality services, working with the government and community sectors and oversight bodies to achieve quality outcomes for vulnerable people.

Eligibility/Other requirements:
* Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required. For further information on Working with Vulnerable People registration refer to - Working with vulnerable people (WWVP) registration )
* As this role is likely to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and young people, cultural awareness, the capacity to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people is highly desirable.
