The Australian International Islamic College (AIIC) is an independent co-educational Islamic school for students from Kindergarten to Year 12. We provide a supportive school environment, where students, families and our staff feel safe to learn and grow together.

This is an Executive Leadership position, akin to an Executive Principal position, with a focus on academic excellence, curriculum and pedagogical leadership and staff development.
AIIC serves 1,600 plus Prep to Year 12 students over 4 Campuses.
Key responsibilities and attributes
* Lead an Islamic school that continues to embrace new technology, contemporary teaching methods and innovative programs
* Impart the Islamic vision and values necessary for AIIC
* Have proven leadership skills, knowledge and understanding in the education of students with disabilities and EALD backgrounds
* Possess the personal qualities, social and interpersonal skills necessary to inspire and lead a staff and Islamic school community
* Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development
* Form partnerships with parents, other government agencies, community groups, industry and business
* Nurture positive social and interpersonal skills including embodying Islamic teachings, respect, understanding, consideration, cooperation, courage and compassion
* Possess strong business acumen and a solid understanding of project management with the ability to continue the implementation of the Islamic School's Masterplan
* Have a demonstrated capacity to write, develop and implement policy
* Understanding of Islamic teachings, how it relates to the practice of diverse Muslim cultures, challenges facing adolescent Muslims and being culturally responsive and caring to children
* Knowledge of current trends in education, with a particular focus on Islamic schools
* Skilled in negotiating conflicting interests of traditional lore and law, and in all circumstances ensure an alternative positive outcome
* Proven critical thinking and problem‑solving skills and Can‑Do attitude
* Well‑developed knowledge of Muslim communities, culture, time management and organisational skills within a diverse setting with the ability to work proactively, autonomously, and successfully deliver to deadlines especially when under pressure
* Advanced levels of computer literacy and Microsoft Office 365 applications (SharePoint, OneDrive, OneNote, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc) and the use of TASS would be advantageous
Successful candidate qualifications
* Graduate and preferably Post‑graduate qualifications in Education / Educational Leadership / Management / Business Administration
* Queensland Teacher Registration / eligibility for registration
* A demonstrable capacity to bring a strategic, creative and innovative perspective to organisational leadership in the College, and to achieve responsibilities and goals in an effective, efficient and timely manner with due/regard to the budgetary and resourcing context
* Understand the legislation and policies that impact on schooling
* An exceptional standard of interpersonal communication skills with a proven ability to build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
* An exceptional standard of personal and professional integrity, demeanour and presentation, that reflects and promotes the ethos of the College, the seniority of this position, and the standing of the College in the Queensland Independent Schools education sector
* Personal commitment to Islamic values, support for and promotion of the faith‑based ethos of the College
How you will be assessed (Key Selection Criteria)
* Demonstrated capacity to provide curriculum leadership leading to the achievement of quality learning outcomes for all students
* Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to develop and sustain productive relationships within and beyond the school community
* Capacity to use strategic thinking, data and analytical skills to influence the educational outcomes at a school level
* Capacity to manage effectively human, financial and physical resources to deliver high quality organisational outcomes in a faith‑based school setting
* Capacity to develop and maintain an organisational culture based on ethical professional, personal behaviours, corporate and religious values
