A professional and experienced Finance Officer is required for an immediate start in Townsville.

Your new company
An exciting opportunity is available to join a major local government authority dedicated to fostering economic diversity and enhancing the quality of life within the community. They are seeking an experienced Finance Officer to support their team on a 4‑month temporary contract with the possibility of extension, based in Townsville.
Your new role
This role supports the Financial Reporting team by helping manage all daily banking and financial processes. The Finance Officer is responsible for keeping cash balances accurate, completing reconciliations, preparing forecasts, and assisting with general financial tasks to ensure the team meets its deadlines.
Key Requirements & Responsibilities

1. Keep cash balances accurate and up to date.
2. Carry out daily banking and investment tasks.
3. Support the Financial Reporting team with general finance duties.
4. Complete daily and monthly
