**The Opportunity**:
An opportunity has arisen for an Area Sales Manager to join our team based in our office in Maddington. Reporting to the Regional Manager, this position is responsible for sales of new and used forklifts as well as long-term hire contracts within your allocated geographic territory. You will maintain the existing client base as well as ongoing development and work to increase the customer portfolio.
**Salary Package**:
Base plus car allowance plus commission structure (on old and new equipment) plus super.

**The Role**:
- Maintain engagement with existing customers and actively seek new business opportunities
- Capture all profitable sales within designated territory to achieve or exceed Komatsu's target market share
- Maintain Komatsu's CRM with opportunities and quotations on a regular basis
- Ensure all machine deliveries are conducted in a professional and timely manner
- Prepare and present quotations and demonstrate equipment to customers
- Visit major users and prospects on a minimum of a quarterly basis
- Carry out quarterly hire checks and report back to the branch Hire Coordinator
- Conduct pre deliver inspections and ensure it has been prepared in accordance with the customers instructions
- Demonstrate and instruct the operators on use and daily maintenance requirements
- Complete a customer handover including all documentation and completion of signatures
- Attend sales meeting and complete regular reporting
- Build, foster and retain good working relations with all key decision-makers internally and externally to the business
**The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities we're Looking For**:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in forklift sales or capital equipment
- Highly developed sales, negotiation, and customer service skills
- Ability to demonstrate product knowledge including mechanical and technical aptitude
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and maintain a proactive call plan
- Customer centric with well-developed written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Suite Applications
- Good analytical and conceptual skills
- Current driver's licence and current driving history report will be required
- Forklift Licence - highly desirable
