ABOUT THE BUSINESS
Mine Spec Equipment Hire provides specialised equipment hire with a strong focus on safe underground vehicles for the mining and associated industries. We offer long-term hire options with end-of-term upgrades, as well as excellent short-term hire solutions.
Our fleet includes both underground and surface vehicles such as LandCruisers, trucks, Bobcats, mini excavators, hand equipment, generators, pumps, and pressure-cleaner trailers.
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated
2nd or 3rd Year Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic Apprentice
to join our team.
In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in servicing and maintaining a wide range of mining equipment and vehicles. You will work on large mining trucks, specialised underground vehicles, and various client vehicles including car transport trailers, horse floats, trucks, and private vehicles.
You will learn and be required to:
Follow all workplace health and safety policies and procedures
Work in a professional and courteous manner
Undertake basic and advanced service work, diagnostics, hydraulic and engine repairs
Perform general repairs and other workshop duties as required
Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment
Take instruction and training from the Managing Director and Workshop Leading Hand
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
A strong interest in mechanics
A can-do attitude and good work ethic
Reliability and eagerness to learn
The ability to work well with a friendly and hardworking team
Ideal candidates will be a transferring or recommencing 2nd or 3rd year Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic Apprentice.
You must be able to pass a pre-start medical, drug and alcohol screening, and have the right to work in Australia.
