About the Company
We have the opportunity for a Delivery Driver / Installer to join our team at Balance Mobility.
Balance Mobility is a mobility and healthcare retail business with stores located on the Gold Coast, Northern NSW and South Brisbane. We provide mobility and rehab equipment to those in need through sales, hire, servicing and delivery.
To be successful in this role you must possess a high level of customer service and communication skills, a base level of computer skills to work an in-house phone app, delivery or dispatch/warehouse experience and a basic knowledge of tools as you will be installing products in clients’ homes.
About the Role:
This is a vital role within our company as you will be the face of the organisation. You will be face to face with customers both in store and at their homes. You will be delivering goods to our clients in their time of need, servicing their equipment and building customer relationships. This is no ordinary delivery driver role, nor is it a ‘quick drop’ style of delivering. You will deliver, install and demonstrate products to our clients with compassion, empathy and a smile.
About You:
You will be an energetic person with attention to detail. You will be building/assembling stock for customers, as well as assisting with basic servicing so experience with tools would be advantageous, however, full training will be provided. Starting from our warehouse at Biggera Waters, the role includes delivering, installing and basic servicing of equipment on the Gold Coast, South Brisbane and Northern NSW. As part of the role you will be delivering large goods such as lift chairs and adjustable beds, not just to the door but to their bedroom or living room, therefore being in good physical health, having good co-ordination and a keen eye for attention to detail are key to succeeding in the role.
General Warehousing and Despatch Responsibilities:
· Medical Equipment delivery
· Delivery of goods and installation of our products in private homes, Aged Care Facilities and Health Care Facilities
· Picking and Packing orders for dispatch
· Loading and unloading of delivery van
· Securing loads within the van for safe transit
· Repairs and service of equipment
· Liaising with our customers, both face to face and over the telephone
· Some heavy lifting and cleaning of hire equipment
· Housekeeping and general vehicle appearance maintenance
Skills and Experience:
· Intermediate computer skills
· Face to face customer service experience
· The ability to attend to clients’ needs in a genuine and empathetic manner
· The ability to work autonomously and manage your time effectively
· Flexible, adaptable and innovative
· Willing to go the extra mile for our customers
· An Open Drivers License
· Technically astute would be advantageous, as the role requires assembly of items using basic tools
· Police check or the ability to obtain one and Covid 19 Vaccination
· Physically fit as there is loading and unloading involved with each delivery
Monday - Friday 8am-4:30pm
