What You'll Be Doing:
This is a broad, hands-on role with a strong focus on relationship management and business development.
Responsibilities:
Managing and growing a wide-ranging portfolio of retail partners across Melbourne and Victoria, including independent bookshops, gift stores, mainstream retailers, and occasional B2B or corporate accounts.
Identifying and developing new business opportunities that benefit all parties.
Presenting curated lists from local and international publisher partners across adult and children's titles, fiction and non-fiction, MBS - and honestly, too many categories to list There's something for everyone.
Supporting promotional campaigns and seasonal initiatives.
Building strong product knowledge to confidently support customer conversations.
Representing the brand with professionalism, enthusiasm, and integrity.
Experience and skills that will deliver success in this role:
We're looking for someone who is warm, friendly, and a natural people-person - organised, proactive, and experienced in a customer-facing role. You'll ideally bring:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills - you genuinely enjoy connecting with people.
Comfort chatting with everyone from business owners and buyers to shop assistants.
A self-motivated approach to time management and working independently.
Experience in the book, gift, or homewares industry in a customer-facing role.
Solid IT literacy.
A full, valid Australian driver's licence (essential).
Bonus points if you have prior experience in special sales, account management or a product-focused role.

The package:
$75,000 base salary
$19,000 car allowance p/a (paid monthly with salary)
12% superannuation
