We are a fast-growing cleaning and landscaping company dedicated to creating beautiful, sustainable outdoor spaces. With our rapid expansion, the complexity of our financial operations has increased, and we are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive accountant to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial management and supporting strategic decision-making as we continue to scale.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ledgers, and reconciliations.
* Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
* Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice processing and debtor/creditor reconciliations.
* Monitor cash flow, budgets, and financial forecasts.
* Ensure compliance with statutory obligations, including taxation, BAS, superannuation, and payroll reporting.
* Assist in the preparation of audit requirements and liaise with external auditors.
* Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
* Support management with financial analysis, reporting, and ad hoc projects.
Skills & Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
* CPA/CA qualified (or working towards) preferred.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax compliance.
* Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, or similar) and MS Excel.
* Excellent attention to detail, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
