As the Nurse Unit Manager, you'll oversee a team of nursing professionals and healthcare workers, ensuring excellence in clinical care, resident support, and operational management. This position plays a critical role in leading innovation, ensuring compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards, and mentoring the next generation of aged care professionals.
Move to Nhill for a regional lifestyle, or work Monday to Friday and go home on weekends
About the Role
Full-time position based at Iona Digby Harris Home, Nhill
Lead and manage a multidisciplinary clinical team
Oversee resident care, staff performance, and regulatory compliance
Contribute to continuous quality improvement and accreditation processes
Be a key member of one of Victoria's most trusted regional health providers
Key Requirements
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated experience with aged care documentation systems and funding tools
Sound knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards
Ability to resolve conflict, manage performance, and lead change
Understanding of legislative frameworks in health, safety, and EEO
Immunisation history and current Police Check, WWCC & NDIS Check (or willingness to obtain)
Postgraduate qualifications in leadership, management, or aged care
Experience in managing residential aged care services in rural settings
