About Us
Mako Services is a locally owned family business based in Busselton, supporting customers across the South West. We specialise in forklift maintenance and repairs, along with a growing range of industrial, access, hydraulic, and earthmoving equipment. The Role
The position is suited to someone who would like some variety in their job, and is willing to challenge themselves. The role will require travel throughout the south west from our headquarters in Busselton, including throughout the Margaret River wine region, up to Bunbury across to Harvey & Collie, down to Manjimup/Pemberton and anywhere in between. You may also be required to work in our Busselton workshop if workload requires it. You will be expected to work independently, and alongside our existing team including apprentices.
What You'll Bring
Experience with forklift maintenance would be ideal but not essential, as specific on the job training will be provided. If you have a solid base in maintenance of any mobile equipment (including automotive) we would be willing to discuss further. We expect our staff to have initiative and be able to fault find effectively. You will be required to have great customer service skills, as you will regularly be in contact with our customers on site. To be considered for the position you will need to meet the below criteria:
* Australian citizen or permanent residency
* Hold a current WA driving license (MR/HR license an advantage)
* Mechanical trade certificate (Automotive, Plant or Heavy Diesel are all acceptable)
* Ability to work unsupervised
* Be a team player – willing to assist in training apprentices
* Ability to diagnose faults & use diagnostic equipment, including but not limited to electrical and hydraulics
* Ability to read & interpret technical resources when required
* Forklift High Risk Work License would be advantageous but can be acquired after starting
* You would be expected to provide standard mechanical hand tools and toolbox. We would provide the specialty tools you would require to do the job including a fully maintained vehicle.
