Pay
* $85,000 - $100,000 a year
Your role
* Study plans, drawings and specifications to determine materials required, dimensions, set‐outs and installation procedures for cabinetry and carpentry works.
* Order and select timbers, sheet materials, hardware and fittings, and prepare on‐site layouts for cabinets, frames and fixtures.
* Cut, shape and machine timber, boards and composite materials, and assemble and nail or screw cut and shaped parts to form cabinets, frames and other structures.
* Remove existing cabinets, fittings and finishes, make good underlying structures, and install new custom‐made kitchen, bathroom and laundry cabinetry with a high level of accuracy and finish.
* Erect and adjust framework, sub‐flooring and associated structural elements where required, verifying trueness, level, plumb and alignment of all installed work.
* Fit doors, drawers, benchtops, panels, wall cladding, skirting, architraves and window and door frames, including on‐site scribing and modification as needed.
* Assemble prepared wood and manufactured components in the workshop or on site to form joinery items and fixtures ready for installation.
* Construct simple formwork or temporary supports where required for renovation works, and repair or upgrade existing fittings and fixtures as part of projects.
* Work closely with designers, cabinetmakers and other trades to clarify details, resolve on‐site issues and ensure installations match approved designs.
* Maintain a clean, safe and hazard‐free work area in clients' homes, following all workplace health and safety requirements and protecting finished surfaces.

Qualifications & experience
* Certificate III in Carpentry and Joinery, Carpentry, Cabinet Making or a closely related trade qualification, or equivalent trade experience in residential renovations and cabinetry.
* Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Carpenter and Joiner, cabinet installer or similar role working on kitchens, bathrooms or interior fit‐outs.
* Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings, take accurate site measurements and set out work with a high degree of precision.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high‐quality workmanship and finishes in occupied residential environments.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a small team, with good communication skills for liaising with clients, designers and other trades.
* Current manual driver's licence and reliable transport; White Card and police clearance and/or Working With Children Check are highly regarded.
The role is with an established residential renovation specialist that delivers complete kitchen, bathroom and laundry renovations, from initial consultation and design through to final installation and handover.
