Loafer Bread
Loafer bread is looking for a new baker to join our team. We have a job opportunity for an apprentice or for a more experienced baker.
We are looking for a person with a passion for baked goods, who is keen to learn and develop their skills in a friendly environment.
We can offer a competitive salary and a 4 day working week.
You will have the opportunity to be trained in all aspects of bread and pastry in the kitchen.
We have strong relationships with our local suppliers, sourcing our flour from a variety of farmers and millers.
We use predominantly organic and biodynamic ingredients, aim to reduce our wastage, and improve the sustainability of our bakery.
You'll be working with a small committed team.
Role responsibilities include
Weighing flour and other ingredients to prepare dough
Baking different bread types, sourdough loaves, baguettes, focaccia, brioche
Hand moulding
Ordering and monitoring stock levels
Maintaining high food safety standards
Cleaning
You will need to have
Good communication skills
An eye for detail
An interest to learn and grow as a baker
Ability to work as a part of small team
Applicants who have previous experience in kitchens who are interested in pursuing a career as a baker will be considered.
