Position Summary
Tweed Valley Hospital is seeking a Specialist General Paediatrician to provide contemporary comprehensive specialist General Paediatric services for optimal patient outcomes across inpatient services, outpatient clinics, hospital‐in‐the‐home, and consultancy where applicable. The successful applicant will also provide clinical leadership, participate in quality improvement activities and provide training and education to clinicians across multiple disciplines to achieve quality education and safe clinical practice.

Employment Type: Temporary Part Time – 26 weeks (August 2026 – January 2027).
Hours per Week: 32 hours.
Remuneration: $278,355 to $376,068 per annum full‐time equivalent, depending on experience.

Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive specialist General Paediatrics services (inpatient, outpatient, hospital‐in‐the‐home, consultancy).
* Provide clinical leadership and participate in quality improvement activities.
* Provide training and education to clinicians across multiple disciplines.
Qualifications
* Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist General Paediatrician, and/or specialist international medical graduate pathways.
* Demonstrated recent clinical experience in General Paediatrics and Neonatal Medicine at the level of service delineation required.
* Demonstrated recent clinical experience with Child and Adolescent medicine as well as children with complex care requirements.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team.
* Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement.
* Valid unrestricted driver's licence for use in NSW/Australia and willingness to travel in the course of employment.
* Availability to participate in an on‐call roster and to respond on site within a reasonable time frame.
