We are seeking a Principal Consultant to join our Programme Commercial Advisory team in Australia. The role focuses on designing, developing, implementing, and optimising commercial strategies and operating models across the commercial lifecycle. Key Responsibilities
Understanding and communicating strategic levers to drive outcomes‑focused commercial environments for clients. Guiding clients in establishing optimal commercial approaches throughout the asset lifecycle. Translating client vision into effective, realistic commercial solutions, including incentive structures. Deploying and optimising commercial management strategies, processes, tools, and systems, tailoring standard methodologies to client needs. Proactively connecting and collaborating with diverse, multi‑disciplinary teams both internally and externally. Developing strong relationships with client stakeholders at all levels. Supporting clients to deliver effective change management. Supporting key activities within the Programme Advisory team, including internal development of commercial service transformation products and methodologies. Identifying, contributing to, and progressing business generation opportunities with senior leadership. Commercial Expertise
Deep understanding of one or more of the infrastructure, defence, energy, or natural resources markets and associated commercial requirements. Awareness of the commercial lifecycle and its support for clients. Ability to operate within large‑scale, complex environments. Experience delivering projects within commercial or transformational environments. Familiarity with construction industry context, models, and initiatives (e.g., Construction Playbook, Project 13). Familiarity with relevant legislative requirements (e.g., public/sector procurement regulations). Desirable qualification in MCIPS, RICS, or equivalent (advanced process acceptable). Consultancy Skills
Experience leading and managing multiple projects, maintaining quality deliverables against challenging timelines. Excellent communication skills, including active listening, presentation, and written communication. Ability to provide insights through clear and succinct communications. Flexible, can‑do attitude with a strong eye for detail. Ability to work and thrive in multi‑stakeholder environments. Experience delivering change management. Equal Opportunity
