We are seeking a committed and experienced Learning Support Program Teacher to join our Student Diversity Team on a full‑time, fixed‑term basis for the 2026 academic year.
About the Role
The Learning Support Program Teacher plays a vital role in supporting students across Years 7–12 through the delivery of personalised, evidence‑based learning support. Reporting and working with the Director of Student Diversity and Inclusion, this role works closely with classroom teachers, families and external professionals to ensure students are engaged, supported and able to thrive in their learning.
The Learning Support Program Teacher will provide individual and small‑group support, develop tailored learning plans, and collaborate with teaching staff to implement differentiated learning strategies in line with the Immanuel College Middle School Learning Framework, SACE and ACARA requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide individual and small‑group learning support for students with diverse learning needs.
* Develop, implement and monitor individualised learning programs in collaboration with classroom teachers.
* Support the effective integration of students into mainstream classes through differentiated strategies.
* Select and use specialised learning resources and technologies to support teaching and learning.
* Liaise with teachers, families and external professionals to coordinate student support.
* Communicate effectively with parents/caregivers regarding student progress and achievement.
* Contribute to pastoral care and wellbeing through the House and care group systems.
* Assess and report on student learning in line with Immanuel College Middle School Learning Framework, Australian Curriculum and SACE expectations.
* Maintain accurate records and complete administrative requirements in a timely manner.
* Contribute to the co‑curricular life of the College.

Qualifications & Experience
* Tertiary teaching qualifications and current South Australian Teacher Registration.
* Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs in a school setting.
* Knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and SACE.
* Demonstrated experience using technology to enhance learning and support student progress.
* Current Responding to Abuse and Neglect training (RRHAN).
* Current Working with Children Check.
* Current Basic First Aid training.
* Teacher Accreditation in Lutheran Schools and Valuing Safe Communities training (or willingness to complete).
