Healthcare Professional Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced healthcare professional to join our team as an Occupational Health Nurse (OHN). The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the health and wellbeing of our workers through the delivery of health services, health promotion, proactive injury management, monitoring of occupational health functions, supporting occupational hygiene programmes, and providing expert advice and assistance on health matters.
The OHN will work closely with the Health and Safety Department to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, and will participate in emergency response training to understand their role during emergency situations. The OHN will also be responsible for managing emergency health facilities and assets onsite, and will assist with projects as directed by the Health and Safety Department.
Requirements
* Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent qualification
* Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
* Current qualification or willingness to complete the Advanced Life Support (ALS) course
* Current manual "C" Class Western Australian Drivers Licence
* Capacity to build key working relationships and effective communication skills
* Computer literacy – Microsoft Office, Micromine, health information databases and safety reporting systems e.g. INX
* Flexibility to adapt to improved procedures and practices
* Demonstrated experience in first responder or emergency health care
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
* Demonstrate ability to maintain or exceed best industry practice in all occupational health tasks
* Experience working in a similar environment (Mining industry)
* Hearing and Respiratory Fit Testing
* Workers Compensation and Injury Management
* Managing emergency response situations in mining including liaising with off-site medical providers and the RFDS as required
* Completion of a recognised:
o Workers' Compensation and Injury Management course
o Audiometry course
o Occupational Hygiene Technician Course
o Work Health and Safety Qualification
o Training & Assessing Qualification
