Collect, analyse, and interpret security information using all-source research to ensure client-facing advisories are accurate, relevant, and reflective of the current risk environment.
Monitor, report, and escalates security issues or events affecting clients in line with established guidance and thresholds.
Conduct targeted research on emerging risk issues, including protests, political violence, militancy, war, crime and natural hazards, as well as information to support client responses such as evacuation operations.
Collaborate with a wider team to deliver high-quality, audience-centric and multimedia security insights and outputs.
As you progress in the role, there will be increasing opportunities to contribute to consulting activities, including delivering client-specific intelligence advisory work.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in an intelligence or security analyst role or closely related field.
* Strong knowledge of global security and risk issues.
* Experience in LATAM and / Africa is desirable.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to explain complex situations to non-expert audiences.
* Ability to critically analyse multiple streams of information under time pressure and produce actionable insights.
* Hold full working rights in Australia and be based in Sydney.
* Degree level (or relevant professional training) in a field related to intelligence, security, risk management, international politics or international relations.
* Experience in security intelligence or a related field, e.g. military, government, NGO, journalism, corporate intelligence.
* International work experience is desired.
