Terrae is seeking full-time Chefs and Apprentice Chefs to join our growing kitchen team. These roles suit passionate hospitality professionals at different stages of their careers, from experienced chefs to those eager to begin their culinary journey.
You will be part of a high-performing, open kitchen producing bread, pasta, sauces and core elements in-house daily. This role offers comprehensive exposure to all methods of cookery and an outstanding platform for both skill development and career progression.
The role will require the following: -
* Prepare, cook and present dishes to a consistently high standard during service,
* Work collaboratively with the Executive Chef and kitchen team to deliver smooth, efficient service,
* Support training and mentoring of junior kitchen staff and apprentices (role dependent),
* Assist with stock control and correct storage of food and kitchen supplies,
* Maintain exceptional standards of kitchen cleanliness, food safety and workplace compliance,
* Contribute ideas to menu development and daily preparation, with a strong focus on seasonal produce and in-house cooking,

Terrae is a 60 seat restaurant offering modern, European inspired food showcasing local, regional and seasonal produce including what is grown locally at the restaurant's 25 acre property and kitchen gardens. Situated in the heart of Bendigo's City of Gastronomy

Suitable candidates must have the following:
Chefs
· Previous experience working in a professional kitchen
· Strong attention to detail and passion for quality food
· Ability to work calmly in a fast-paced environment
Apprentice Chefs
· Keen to start a career in commercial cookery
· Strong desire to learn and develop kitchen skills
· Reliable, motivated and enthusiastic about hospitality

* High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences
* Excellent communication skills in a fast past kitchen
* Flexible availability, including day and evening shifts on a rotating roster
