Position Summary
The Overnight Bell Attendant is responsible for extending a warm arrival welcome and fond farewell to all guests. This position assists arrival and departure guests with the smooth transfer of luggage, packages and the safe and efficient movement of vehicles in line with established processes. They also assist with providing directions to guests and arranging transport during the day.
The Role
* Greet and welcome all guests to the hotel in a warm, professional and friendly manner. Open doors, assist guests/visitors entering, and leaving property.
* Ensure guests are greeted in the lobby with a warm professional friendly manner and anticipate their needs by offering assistance before being asked.
* Provide efficient luggage storage, retrieval of parcels and other objects for guests and ensure accurate inventory of items on loan, and all items are collected in time.
* Be knowledgeable of the hotel's offerings, special events or promotions to provide the most up-to-date information and accurate information to guests.
* Cleans and prepares work area for next day operation.
* Arranges and performs newspaper delivery during the overnight hours.
* Hails taxis and answers guests' inquiries.
* Prevents entrance of unauthorized or undesirable persons; keeps main entrance and frontage neat at all times.
Talent Profile
* Full Drivers license.
* Amenable to work overnight shift.
* Experiences in similar role at luxury hotels/resort or commercial facilities.
* Basic computer skills with hands on experience in room maintenance.
* Good spoken English.
* Valid working rights in Australia.
