The opportunity
Our People & Culture team pride themselves on supporting a highly engaged workforce and fostering a positive, people first culture, whilst supporting over 60 individual business units with expert advice and guidance.
Lead by our People and Culture Manager and directly reporting to one of our Human Resource Business Partners, you'll be stepping into a role where your ideas matter and your impact is visible.
You'll be hands on across a number of HR activities in this true generalist role.
From offering clear and confident advice on Council's Enterprise Agreement and other related industrial instruments to participating in industrial matters and supporting the HR Business Partner in workplace investigations or other HR matters.
You'll also be managing and improving our employee systems and generating and maintaining accurate and reliable workforce information and reporting.
Our People & Culture team is made up of Human Resources, Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition and Workplace Culture, with your direct Human Resources team encompassing 2 x HR Advisors and 2 x HR Business Partners.
This is a permanent opportunity – working full-time 35 hours / week + access to a flexible working arrangement such as Flexi-time
Base Salary Range: $77,355 - $91,003 pa based on 35 hours / week + 12% superannuation + $2,464 retention allowance
You will be working from PSC Administration Building, Raymond Terrace

You'll also take ownership of our HRIS (Cornerstone), ensuring our workforce data is accurate, meaningful and ready to inform great decision-making.

Here's what we're looking for:
Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management or equivalent with experience working in Human Resource Information Systems
Demonstrated initiative and flexibility, with the ability to multi-task and operate in autonomous high-volume work environments
Effective communication skills, communicating effectively with colleagues and customers to gather information about their needs and services
Demonstrated ability to interpret legislation and policies
Experience in deriving, analysing and presenting complex matters
