Our client, an iconic and established national multisite liquor retailer is looking for a strong, savvy retail account manager with a solutions mindset to join their team in Vic, looking after Bendigo and surrounds. This role will report into the State Manager, and as part of a larger team you will work collaboratively to deliver results to the retailers, which will contribute to the State budget.
You will be responsible for providing support and engaging with a diverse range of retailers, your aim is to build such strong relationships with them that you'll become an extension to their business. You'll work with them and head office to develop, negotiate and execute strategic business plans in relation to products and promotions to ensure their success.
You will do this by maintaining and developing business relationships with key decision makers throughout your account base and providing the retailers with commerical business solutions, identifying local opportunities and developing initiatives to further build sales and profitability for growth.
**Responsibilities**:
- Developing and maintaining business relationships across retailers
- Develop & execute joint business plans with retailers
- Understand each account intimately to provide strategic solutions
- Drive offers linked to suppliers and/or NPD
- Ensure performance targets for distribution & promotional activities
- Deliver & present core ranges, programs & new products
- Contribute to actively growing the profitability for the state
- Identify local market opportunities & develop initiatives accordingly
- Manage the process from opportunity identification to execution
- Working in collaboration with Marketing & Trade activations
