The Legal Team
Dimensional's Legal group is an in-house team of client-focused lawyers, paralegals, and legal assistants who partner with internal and external teams to help provide legal expertise across business functions, legal systems, and jurisdictions.
The Opportunity
The Legal Assistant, EMEA will be responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to Legal teams in both Sydney and London.
The position will be based in Sydney and report to the Lead Australian Counsel.
The Role- Manage contract approvals process by preparing logs, obtaining signature(s), filing, preparing reports, and coordinating with the US-based Contracts Administrator and others in international offices, as needed.- Manage class action proceeds process by providing bank account details, following up on global jurisdictions, and liaising with both internal operational teams and external litigation funders/lawyers.- Serve as APAC and EMEA filing specialist by maintaining and updating physical/electronic legal files in accordance with local procedures.- Process invoices in accordance with standard guidelines.- Organise global meetings and calls, coordinating schedules with other staff as needed.- Provide general administration, such as answering calls and receiving correspondence, scheduling travel arrangements, and preparing expense and other required intercompany reporting.
Requirements / Qualifications- Bachelor's degree (or degree in process) required.- 1+ years' experience as a Legal Assistant/Legal File Clerk preferred.- Some flexibility to be able to start work later in the day to connect with the team in London in real-time as required.- Demonstrates excellent organisation and attention to detail.- Self-starter who can manage multiple projects and meet critical internal and external deadlines.- Able to work productively in a global team environment; experience with a hybrid office and remote environment and/or international interaction preferred.- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams).- Knowledge of document management and comparison software (iManage/Workshare Compare) and Adobe Acrobat preferred.
