We have a wonderful opportunity for an experienced Youth Health and Wellbeing Manager to lead our wonderful youth health and mental health services. This role will also undertake the responsibilities of the Centre Manager at headspace Ocean Grove.
Employment Type: Full-time, Ongoing 1.0 FTE, 5 days – 38 hours per week

About us
Bellarine Community Health (BCH) is the major provider of primary health care services to the Bellarine Peninsula. BCH is a not-for-profit health care provider with close links to our community operating from six sites located in Drysdale (two sites), Ocean Grove (two sites), Point Lonsdale and Portarlington and in community settings across the Bellarine.
About the team
Our Youth team provides primary care services to young people, primarily aged 12 to 25 years, through a collaborative and best practice model of care. Services are provided from our Drysdale Youth site, headspace Ocean Grove satellite site, Doctors in School clinics and in community outreach settings. The team offers support tailored to the needs of young people and the important people in their lives. Our team work alongside co-located external providers to ensure a holistic approach to care.

About the role
The Youth Health and Wellbeing Manager will lead, develop, implement, oversee and manage the operations, and the future growth and development of BCH’s youth health and wellbeing services inclusive of the Centre Manager responsibilities for headspace Ocean Grove.
In addition, they are responsible to:
* Facilitate excellence in integrated, holistic health care, with the goal of improving outcomes for young people.
* Ensure provision of evidenced based, multi-disciplinary care which is aligned to best practice in Primary Care including applicable Commonwealth, State and headspace National program guidelines and related clinical governance frameworks.
* Ensure services are responsive to the care needs of young people, their family, friends and support network and that operational management systems are designed to deliver continuity of care within an efficient and sustainable framework
* Work closely and collaboratively with a range of stakeholders to identify gaps and opportunities which further enhance service options and to ensure all activities are in accordance with the relevant service grant agreements, contracts and sub-contracts.
* Monitor financial and service outcomes to ensure achievement of performance targets.
To be successful you will require:
* Tertiary qualifications in allied health, behavioural/social sciences, youth work, mental health nursing, or a related discipline.
* Minimum 5 years’ experience within Health or Community Services; or, 2 years’ in a mental health service.
* Demonstrated experience at effectively leading and reporting on complex planning and service development environments.
* Established expertise in managing and developing operational systems for a health or community services organisations, including effectively planning to maximise operational efficiency and meet funding deliverables.
* Proficiency in managing all aspects of staff and team operations, performance and development.
* Experience in direct service provision to young people and providing mental health services or programs, including being able to respond effectively to crisis and high-risk situations.
* Proven track record in building and maintaining effective working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
* Demonstrated capacity to effectively engage in leadership and management processes, including multidisciplinary and/or cross sector initiatives, and partnerships.
