The Role:
As a Food and Beverage Supervisor, you will foster an environment that values teamwork, innovation, and excellence. This is a hands on operational role; supervising the daily operations, leading the front-of-house team, and ensuring our guests receive exceptional service and high-quality dining experiences. Your leadership and attention to detail will be crucial in maintaining our high standards and enhancing guest satisfaction.
You will also play a vital role in the coordination and execution of food and beverage services for conferences, meetings, and events. This includes ensuring seamless collaboration between the kitchen, front-of-house staff, and event coordinators to deliver smooth and memorable experiences for all attendees.
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
* Supervise and provide leadership to the Food & Beverage Team
* Drive the productivity, motivation and development of all Food & Beverage Team Members
* Assist Food and Beverage Manager with staff training and development
* Oversee monthly stocktakes and maintain accurate inventory records for cost control.
* Assist with weekly rostering to ensure optimal staffing aligned with business needs.
* Coordinate with conference and events teams to deliver exceptional service for all functions.
* Respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries, feedback, and concerns.
* Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient and consistent food and beverage service.
* Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of operations, actively participating in the development of policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance overall efficiency and guest experience
To be successful in this role:
* Experience in a supervisor capacity within a hotel or hospitality environment
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on guest satisfaction
* Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide staff
* Thorough understanding of food and beverage operations, inventory control, rostering and budgeting
* Proficiency in barista and bartending skills with a strong understanding of coffee and cocktail preparation.
* Proficiency in using point-of-sale systems and other hospitality management software
* Be able to work within the company core values of: Be There, Play, Make Their Day, Choose Your Attitude
* The ability to work a rotating seven-day schedule that includes weekdays, weekends, public holidays, and both early and late shifts.
* Relevant certifications or training in food safety and hygiene are a plus.
* Current TAS RSA Certificate
