Description
We have a current opportunity for a Terminal Operator on a contract basis. The position will be based at Port Botany. For further information about this position please apply.
Responsibilities of the role include:
* Perform all terminal operations including: shipping, product transfers, tank gauging including stock level calculations, stock control, truck loading operations, operating control systems and loading of packaged goods
* Performing general tasks such as preventative maintenance, site and equipment inspection, site documentation, equipment set up and operation of mobile and stationary equipment and site house keeping
* Participate in LOTO system as necessary
* Participating in prestart meetings
* Champion site safety
* Demonstrate the Quantem values of Safety, Partnering, Accountability, Leadership and Excellence
Profile
* A trade qualification in a Mechanical / Technical field would be highly desirable
* Training and experience in truck and ship loading, as well as wharf duties is bonus but not required
* Experience in chemical handling facility operations desirable
* Understanding of handling Dangerous Goods and Hazardous chemicals
* Computer literacy
* Physically fit and ready for a hands-on job.
* Valid forklift license or willing to obtain
* Confined space training certification or be willing to obtain
* Willingness to complete a police check and drug and alcohol test.
