SESG is responsible for providing immediate and longer-term support through its diverse portfolios, such as emergency and incident response, High Security Escort of prisoners, state-wide training services, barrier control, search and canine services, and management of firearms.About the RoleThe State Training Coordinator reports to the Manager, Workforce Services SESG has a lead role in the day-to-day management of Statewide Training and the Training Instructor team. This includes overseeing and coordination the Training Instructors, whilst ensuring that training records for the state and for prison compliance are maintained.The role of the State Training Coordinator.• Lead the state training portfolio, including the development and continuous improvement of statewide training.• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to oversee and coordinate state training and assessment activities.Please note this role may include travel to multiple locations, which may also require overnight stays.Some of your duties will include:Contribute to creating, fostering and sustaining a positive, safe and healthy workforce cultureLead and manage staff to provide a state-wide service that ensures the safety and security of prisoners, staff, and visitors across the systemPrepare correspondence, reports, project documents and briefings on a range of issues as requiredDevelop and maintain accurate training records and ensure training is delivered in a timely and consistent mannerTo learn more about this role before applying, please read the attached position description.About youTo be successful in this role, you will have:Knowledge of Corrections Victoria mandatory training requirements and associated policies.Knowledge of Corrections Victoria and Department of Justice and Community Safety policies and associated legislationAbility to design and deliver training courses to both Correctional Services personnel and relevant private organisations as required.Computer literate with a working knowledge of the full range of Microsoft Windows and MS Office application suite software.Qualifications/requirementsA full and current Victorian driver's licence or a minimum P2 driver's licence.Cert.
