Fruit Farm Worker Position Summary
Our organization is currently seeking a qualified Fruit Farm Worker to join our team in Coorumba, QLD. This full-time position involves performing routine tasks as directed to assist with banana crop cultivation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Meeting with farm supervisors to receive assigned tasks
* Collecting and preparing equipment for daily use
* Completing prestart machinery checklists
* Cleaning, sterilising, and maintaining equipment and machinery
* Harvesting of bananas
* Hanging, de-handing and washing bananas
* Sorting, grading and packing bananas
* Labelling and stamping produce for distribution
* Weighing, stacking and strapping banana pellets
* Unpacking and storing farm supplies
* Operating machinery to perform bagging, pruning, weeding, slashing, mulching, and fertiliser duties
* Maintenance and repair of irrigation lines and sprinklers
* Reporting completed tasks to the farm supervisor
Additional duties may be required from time to time based on business needs.
