As Quality Control Manager within our Quality Team you'll lead a team of 5 x Direct Reports and be responsible for coordinating and managing the analytical and microbiological testing of starting materials, intermediate bulk and finished products and approve or reject starting materials. With your team, you will be responsible for a larger team in the QC function responsible for sample receipt and testing of all of the stated materials. You will also oversee vendor contract analysis ensuring in line with TGA Guidelines, laboratory operations are within GLP, GMP, data integrity and safety considerations, to name a few.

Main responsibilities: Ensures QC Inspection readiness and high-quality performance in the QC area, during Regulatory Inspections and customer auditsParticipates in self-inspections and auditsEnsures QC facilities, processes and procedures meet all applicable regulatory and Global Quality compliance including deployment of a culture of excellence in Quality and HSE (Health, Safety & Environment)Ensures continuous improvement and performance in QC management and analytical methodsEnsures upgrade and qualifications of QC instrument and facilitiesEnsures the continuous validation status of analytical methodsProvides scientific and technical guidance on OOS, OOT and test issues and ensures initial laboratory investigations are completed on time and with sufficient scientific rigourCooperates with internal customers and production and provides guidance and leadership within the department and throughout QCEnsures quality systems (including related Quality documentation, analytical procedures and instructions) are in place and that issues are closed in a timely mannerStrictly adheres to GxPs and all other pertinent regulatory guidanceManage and maintain delegated sampling activities and perform annual training to sampling staffProvides solutions and suggestions for improvement for Quality Control testingRecruit, develop and coach for high performance, build, guide and coach teams to deliver work output within timeline & budget constraintAbout you Qualifications: Degree in Science (Chemistry, Pharmacy or Microbiology) or related disciplineExperience: Ideally a minimum of 10 x years experience in Consumer Healthcare or Pharmaceutical, or related industry- with 5 years in Quality related field preferredExtensive analytical and microbiological experience in the testing of complementary medicines or pharmaceuticalsA proven track record in successful people leadershipIn depth knowledge and understanding of current TGA regulationsSoft Skills & Technical Competencies: Customer Service orientation and Key stakeholder managementConversant with GLP and GMP guidelines and knowledge of lean manufacturing or six sigma principlesHigh level of Internal and External Communication skillsContinuous Improvement and Problem solving Mindset is a must!Negotiation skillsStrong organization and planning skills and the ability to set and action priorities to meet deadlinesWhy choose us?
