THE OPPORTUNITY
A well-established logistics company is looking for a proactive Transport Safety & Compliance Officer to help strengthen its national transport compliance framework. Based in Brisbane's southern industrial corridor, this role supports multiple transport sites, providing hands-on guidance to ensure operations meet safety, regulatory, and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) standards.
You'll work both in the office and on the ground, combining analytical work with site visits, training, and collaboration with operational leaders.
ROLE FOCUS
* Maintain and update policies and procedures across fatigue, load restraint, mass, and vehicle maintenance.
* Carry out regular site audits, reviews, and compliance checks to identify risks and improvement areas.
* Assist with investigations and corrective action planning following safety or compliance incidents.
* Deliver compliance awareness sessions and toolbox talks to operational and driving teams.
* Support the deployment of digital reporting systems and compliance dashboards.
* Prepare reports and data summaries for management review and governance meetings.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
* Background in road transport operations, including driver safety.
* Knowledge of CoR and Heavy Vehicle National Law requirements.
* Confidence to engage and influence across frontline and management levels.
* Attention to detail with solid report-writing and follow-up capability.
* Competence in Microsoft Office and safety or fleet management systems.
* Formal training in Transport, Logistics, or WHS (advantageous but not essential).
