About the role:
This is a permanent full-time position, ideal for individuals looking to start their career in the production industry. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the roto moulding process, ensuring high-quality production standards and contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations.
What your day will look like:
* Operate and monitor roto moulding ovens in line with production schedules
* Ensure safety compliance, including forklift and gantry crane operations
* Train and mentor assistant oven operators
* Perform start-up/shutdown procedures, complete shift reports, and maintain production records
* Troubleshoot process faults and recommend improvements to cook times/designs
* Maintain shop floor organization and cleanliness to 5S standards
* Conduct preventative maintenance and attend to breakdowns
* Monitor raw material levels and coordinate workflow to maximize oven utilization
* Carry out product inspections (thickness, colour, inserts) to ensure quality
About you:
* Experience in oven roto moulding/extrusion/injection moulding
* Ability to operate PLC/computer-controlled ovens
* Skilled in manual handling and use of hand tools
* Forklift, and gantry crane operation (training/tickets provided if required)
* Strong technical understanding of oven processes
* Solution-focused, and committed to continuous improvement
* Able to plastic weld (preferred)
* Safety focused
