Our Client

Hooker & Heijden are proud to represent a growing and client‐focused insurance brokerage in their search to appoint an Account Executive. With a strong reputation in the Domestic and Commercial insurance market, our client continues experience stead growth and ongoing demand from new and existing clients. This role is well suited to a developing insurance professional who enjoys working closely with clients, building technical capability, and progressing their career in a supportive broking environment.

The Role

Reporting to a Senior Broker or Broking Manager, this role is focused entirely on client servicing and portfolio management, with no staff management or sales targets attached. You will work closely with senior brokers and support teams, assisting in the delivery of reliable, compliant and efficient insurance solutions for Domestic and Commercial clients. As the successful applicant you will:

* Manage and service an established portfolio of Domestic & Commercial clients.
* Provide day‐to‐day broking support including renewals, endorsements, and new business enquiries.
* Deliver high‐quality client service aligned with company service standards.
* Work collaboratively with internal broking, claims and support teams to achieve client outcomes.
* Develop and maintain relationships with insurers to support efficient placement and competitive terms for clients.
* Manage a portfolio of Domestic and Commercial clients, delivering day‐to‐day broking support and advice. Assist with renewals, new business quotations, mid‐term adjustments and general enquiries.
* Support clients with policy interpretation, documentation, and insurer negotiations as required.
* Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate servicing of clients.
* Maintain effective relationships with a panel of insurers to support placement and renewal outcomes.
* Ensure all client interactions and policy documentation adhere to compliance, legislative and regulatory requirements.
* Process new business, renewals and policy documentation, including preparation, checking and issuing of policy documents.
* Support internal systems and workflows to ensure consistency and efficiency in service delivery.
* rovide responsive and professional service to clients, including liaising with insurers on endorsements, amendments, premium calculations and correspondence.

Skills and Experience that will lead to success:

* Sound technical understanding of Domestic and Commercial General Insurance products.
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high‐quality client service.
* Well‐developed written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage priorities and work effectively within a team‐based environment.
* Eagerness to develop technical knowledge and progress within an insurance broking career path. Tier 1 Broking Compliance in line with the Financial Services Reform Act;
