This is a unique maintenance position where you will be responsible for leading and implementing preventative and corrective maintenance activities on-site. The goal is to drive improvements in equipment reliability and plant efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure all plant and equipment are in a safe, operable condition at all times.
* Implement and carry out preventative, corrective, and shutdown maintenance activities as required.
* Troubleshoot equipment and conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
* Plan and supervise contractor activities, ensuring safe and timely execution of tasks.
* Identify and drive process improvements for cost, quality, and reliability across the site.
* Manage maintenance records and documentation for traceability and compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
* Utilize maintenance software to issue and close out work orders and permits accurately.
* Procure maintenance materials and manage spare parts inventory effectively.
* Participate in the on-call roster for breakdown and emergency support when necessary.
Qualifications & Experience
* A relevant trade certificate (e.g. Fitter, Fitter and Turner, Fitter/Welder) is required for this role.
* Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment is highly desirable.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is essential.
* A valid forklift license is required for this position.
* Electrical Disconnect/Reconnect and Dogman / Rigger licenses are highly desirable but not essential.
* Fit and able to work in confined spaces and at heights safely.
* Strong English communication skills (written and verbal) are required for effective collaboration.
* A Victorian Driver's License is highly desirable but not essential.
