About The Role
Concord Centre for Mental Health is committed to improving mental health for people and our communities by providing quality mental health services in partnership with consumers, families and service providers.
This position aims to support evidence-based neurocognitive assessment and contribute to the care, treatment and management of mental illness and psychological conditions for forensic patients at the Burudyara Forensic Unit.
The Clinical Neuropsychologist will provide evidence-based neuropsychological assessment for forensic patients seen individually, participate in the evaluation of clinical outcomes of services, assist in the development and provision of education and training programs, and will be expected to supervise post-graduate provisional neuropsychologists where appropriate.
Clinical work will occur within the context of a multidisciplinary health care team.
Ideal Candidate
Must hold a postgraduate degree in clinical psychology or clinical neuropsychology (Master's, Doctorate or PhD) that provides eligibility for full membership of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).
Demonstrated clinical knowledge, skill and experience in the provision of clinical neuropsychology assessments, including the use of a broad range of neurocognitive tests.
Experience and demonstrated ability in building and maintaining professional and therapeutic relationships through written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
