The Food & Pharmaceutical Division operates a modern laboratory at Rydalmere, Sydney that is equipped with the latest in analytical technology. The division is seeking an experienced Laboratory Technician to become a part of the Chemistry team that strives to exceed customer expectations by delivering quality results on time and by maintaining strong relationships with their clients. This is a full-time role with the hours to be discussed with the successful candidate. The ideal candidate will be flexible with their available days and hours.
Responsibilities:
1. Performing routine chemical analysis, such as gravimetric analysis, titrations and sample extractions for instrumental procedures.
2. Operation of instrumentation such as ICPMS and ICPOES.
3. Ensure analytical procedures and associated tasks are conducted in accordance with ALS Quality Systems.
4. Following structured workflows to ensure accuracy and consistency.
5. Contributing to a safe, efficient, and high-performing laboratory environment.
The Essentials:
1. A qualification in Chemistry or a related discipline (degree, Cert IV, or Diploma).
2. Experience working with analytical instruments.
3. Minimum of one year of experience in a laboratory setting.
4. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage shifting priorities.
5. Flexibility to adapt working hours to meet production needs.
6. A collaborative mindset with the ability to work both independently and within a team.
7. High standards when it comes to data quality, lab safety, and client service.
