As a Senior Mine Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting our mine production activities and providing short-term engineering support to our operation. You will be responsible for coordinating and driving daily, weekly, and monthly mine plans and reports to enable the business to meet its objectives.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage day-to-day mine activities underground, including overseeing the scheduling of UG mobile equipment fleet and ensuring QAQC of explosives charging practices.
">
* Mentor junior national engineers in drill & blast, ventilation, dewatering, backfilling, and production processes.
">
* Regularly review established processes and standards to maximize economic profit for the operation.
">
* Coordinate the scheduling of drill and blast barging for underground mining at K92 Mining.
">
* Monitor the performance of any contractors involved in these activities.

* Review with other engineering specialists, mining production targets and ore specifications, and liaise with process personnel accordingly.

Requirements
">
To be considered for this role, it is essential that you have a tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering with a strong production focus and 6+ years of experience working in underground hard rock mining, preferably in PNG. Strong planning, organizational, and analytical skills are also required.
