Role Overview
The commercial finance analyst position involves working collaboratively with a team of experts to provide support and guidance across key areas, including accounting, budgeting, and forecasting. Reporting directly to the Commercial Finance Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality results within defined timeframes.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop weekly cash flow forecasts and identify opportunities for improvement.
* Coordinate site-specific month-end accounting functions within specified deadlines.
* Prepare and distribute monthly reporting packs for the wire business unit.
* Support the annual budget process through the consolidation of quantitative and qualitative data.
* Assist in collecting, analyzing, and presenting market data to inform product decisions as required.
* Conduct analysis of key cost drivers to identify performance improvement opportunities and initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications in commerce, finance, or accounting.
* Strong commercial acumen and a willingness to learn and grow.
* Previous experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment is highly valued.
* Proficiency in Power BI/SAP and advanced Excel modeling skills are desirable.
