Emergency Veterinary Nurse Role
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Veterinary Nurse to join our team. As an integral part of our core team, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional care to pets during their most critical moments.

Key Responsibilities:
* Emergency Patient Care: Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill and injured animals in the emergency department.
* Triage and Assessment: Quickly and accurately assess patients to determine the level of urgency and appropriate interventions.
* Monitoring: Utilise advanced monitoring equipment to track vital signs and respond promptly to any changes in patient condition.
* Collaboration: Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
* Client Communication: Update and communicate with pet owners regarding their pet's condition, treatment plans, and prognosis.
* Medical Procedures: Assist in a variety of medical procedures, including but not limited to wound care, fluid therapy, and administration of medications.
* Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with hospital protocols.
* Continuing Education: Stay current with advancements in emergency and critical care medicine through ongoing training and professional development.
Requirements:
* A Cert IV qualified nurse or equivalent qualification is required.
* A minimum 3+ years of experience in emergency and critical care nursing is essential.
* Proficiency in IV catheter placement, blood sample collection, and anesthesia monitoring is necessary.
* Familiarity with advanced monitoring equipment is advantageous.
* The ability to work well and adapt quickly to challenges in a fast-paced environment is crucial.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and compassionately to pet owners are required.
