**Overview**

The Power BI Support Officer will be focused on contributing to the day-to-day administration of Power BI services for the ACT Government.

The Power BI Support Officer also works closely with end-users, such as data scientists, data modellers, data engineers, and other technology/research practitioners, to provide technical advice related to the deployment or remediation of data products deployed to the Power BI service.

The Power BI Support Officer is therefore required to effectively communicate and liaise with a broad range of stakeholders at all levels of the DDTS organisation and the organisations we enable. The role will also engage broadly to support the organisational objectives of the Technology Services Branch (TSB) and be a key contributor to the enablement of hybrid service delivery and design thinking in DDTS.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Support Power BI end users.
- Communicate release and update of features to end users and other service stakeholders.
- Document processes, procedures, and knowledge articles related to the Power BI service.
- Manage user permission and grant access in accordance with business rules.
- Diagnose, triage, and resolve Power BI related issues.
- Actively participate in the maintenance and management of Power BI platform tenancies and environments.
- Liaise with technical areas and project teams to collaboratively deliver outcomes.
- This position does not involve direct supervision of staff.
- Other duties as required.

**Key Requirements**
- Technical knowledge and experience in the administration and development of Power BI Services in an enterprise environment.
- Demonstrated experience in leveraging Power BI to develop data visualisation and reporting solutions, including design, and support of SQL-based data integrations/transformations.
- Demonstrated experience or aptitude necessary to manage workspaces, datasets, and gateway connections on Power BI.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills suitable to anticipate and resolve incidents and problems related to Power BI solutions and data sources.
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or a related field is highly desirable.
- Possessing an Infrastructure Technology Information Library (ITIL) Foundation Certificate or experience working in an ITIL environment is highly desirable.
- Experience working in a service desk or end-user support role is highly desirable.
