About The Role
We're looking for a motivated and hands‐on 2IC to join our Dispatch team. Reporting to the Dispatch Supervisor, you'll work alongside your colleagues and play a key role in keeping daily operations running smoothly — supporting your team, maintaining quality standards, and stepping up as the leader when needed.

What You'll Be Doing
* Actively working alongside the team on picking, packing, labeling, and order preparation — including lifting, carrying, and moving plant stock throughout your shift
* Overseeing day-to-day dispatch activities to ensure orders go out accurately and on time
* Supporting the Dispatch Supervisor in leading and motivating the dispatch team
* Acting as team leader in the Supervisor's absence
* Coaching and supporting team members on the job
* Ensuring OHS requirements and safe work practices are followed at all times
* Assisting with dispatch paperwork, delivery documentation, and system records
* Coordinating with other teams for smooth operational flow
* Supporting truck loading and logistics as required
* Working in an outdoor or semi-outdoor environment across varying weather conditions
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience in dispatch, logistics, or a similar fast-paced production environment
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Excellent communication and people skills
* Comfortable using Microsoft Office and operational systems
* A proactive, can‐do attitude and the ability to stay calm under pressure
Desirable
* Previous leadership or 2IC experience
* Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain one)
* Experience in horticulture or nursery environments (training provided)
