Administration Assistant – Full Time

Millingtons Funeral Services | Hobart

Millingtons Funeral Services has an opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team of funeral professionals in Hobart.

This is a full-time position (38 hours per week), with some weekend and public holiday work required as part of a rotating roster. The position is available for an immediate start.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional with a strong background in administration and multimedia, and a genuine focus on delivering outstanding customer service. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career within the funeral service profession and contribute meaningfully to a purpose-driven organisation.

About the Role

Reporting to the Funeral Operations Manager, this role provides vital administrative and operational support to our funeral teams and the families we serve.

Key Responsibilities

* General front-of-house administrative duties
* Monitoring and responding to general email correspondence in a timely and professional manner
* Preparation of Order of Service booklets and visual media montages
* Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
* Collection and receipting of client payments
* Coordinating and liaising with caterers, florists and newspapers to support families and Funeral Arrangers
* Assisting at funeral services as required in the capacity of a Funeral Assistant

About You

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

* Exceptional personal presentation and meticulous attention to detail
* The ability to work effectively both independently and within a small team
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively under pressure
* A flexible approach and a willingness to learn
