Description The Paul Ramsay Foundation seeks an experienced Event Manager to cover a fixed-term parental leave from October 2025 to December 2026. This position is based in Sydney. As the Event Manager, you will play a crucial role in planning, coordinating, and executing various events to support the foundation’s objectives. Your responsibilities will include: Lead the end-to-end delivery of a diverse event calendar across online, in-person and hybrid formats. Manage all logistical components including venue sourcing, speaker briefing, run sheets, event portals, budgets, catering, AV, and stakeholder liaison. Develop and manage online registration using EventsAIR, including complex workflows, customised websites, and real-time reporting. Host and produce webinars and hybrid events using Zoom, Microsoft Teams and other virtual platforms. Support strategic convenings including Board and Executive meetings, retreats, roundtables, launches and community events. Build strong, collaborative working relationships across the organisation, working closely with portfolios and Communications to ensure events are aligned to our strategy and brand. Liaise with onsite building, facilities, food and beverage service providers and external suppliers to ensure smooth and professional delivery. Prepare event reports and contribute to quarterly data reporting, including analysis of reach and engagement This is an exciting opportunity for an organised, detail-oriented individual with strong communication and project management skills. Skills And Experiences KEY SELECTION CRITERIA Minimum 7 years’ experience in event production (e.g. agency, university, government or not-for-profit). Proven ability to plan and deliver high-quality events, often juggling multiple timelines and formats. Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills across all levels. Demonstrated experience producing online and hybrid events – including live webinars. Proficiency in EventsAIR (or similar platforms), Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity and confidence using AI tools to enhance event planning, production and post-event workflows. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. High attention to detail and a strong sense of accountability. Familiarity with event protocol, formats and professional etiquette. Willingness to travel interstate occasionally and work flexibly (some early mornings/after-hours). A tertiary qualification in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is desirable. Ideally, you’ll bring experience using CRM or CMS platforms and a genuine interest in social impact, philanthropy, or community-led initiatives.
