The Role
Our Senior Mechanics are hands-on shift leaders responsible for maintenance, repairs, and routine inspections of our e-scooter fleet, as well as monitoring mechanic performance. They ensure warehouse efficiency, safety, and adherence to operational procedures. This role suits those who enjoy technical challenges, variety, and are committed to safety and quality. The role offers opportunities to streamline processes and contribute to growth initiatives in AU and beyond. Flexibility to work 4 weekdays plus 1 weekend day is preferred.
What you'll do:
* Perform routine maintenance and repairs on e-scooters and e-bikes.
* Conduct safety and performance assurance checks.
* Troubleshoot issues and implement solutions.
* Maintain accurate service records.
* Collaborate with the operations team for vehicle deployment.
* Develop and execute warehouse management strategies.
* Ensure quality control and basic maintenance in the warehouse.
* Manage administrative tasks like scheduling and inventory.
* Conduct stocktakes regularly.
* Train new mechanics and conduct refresher training.
* Perform ad-hoc tasks as needed.
* Responsible for Workshop KPIs.
* Represent Neuron as a positive brand ambassador.
What you'll need:
* 1-3 years experience with light vehicles or electrical systems.
* Formal qualifications in automotive mechanics (e.g., Certificate III).
* Strong problem-solving skills.
* Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* Valid driver’s license.
* Ability to lift 28-35kg regularly.
* Smartphone (Apple or Android, 2018 or newer).
* Experience in stock planning and management.
* Leadership experience, working alongside mechanics.
* Process-driven with experience defining warehouse procedures.
* Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Interest in shared mobility and growth mindset.
