Known for its depth of expertise, the team providesconstitutional and public law advice, supports High Court litigation, and assists the Crown Solicitor and Deputy Crown Solicitor to advice and represent the Attorney- General on matters of significance. Known for its expertise and impact, the team also provides strategic legal advice to key government stakeholders.Your New RoleIn this pivotal leadership role, you'll head a respected team known for the provision of advice and advocacy across State and Federal Courts.As an Assistant Crown Solicitor in the Constitutional Law team, you will be a legal specialist in constitutional law, statutory interpretation and/or human rights—guiding the team's legal performance, client engagement, and day-to-day operations.You'll Be Empowered To Lead a Team Thatprovides advice on complex questions of constitutional law and statutory interpretation;instructs the Solicitor-General and other counsel in constitutional matters in the State and Federal Courts;provides advice and representation in matters involving the interpretation and application of the Human Rights Act 2019; andassists the Crown Solicitor in advising the Attorney - General, including those matters relating to ministerial correspondence and miscarriage of justice.Culture & BenefitsReflecting the rich diversity of Queensland, Crown Law brings together people from all backgrounds—First Nations, migrant communities and beyond.
