We are seeking a proactive and experienced Safety Manager to lead our Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) initiatives.
This role will be responsible for driving and facilitating site management of HSE activities, including:
* Providing specialist safety guidance to project leaders and site supervisors/ workers.
* Mentoring and coaching employees on the facilitation of HSE duties.
* Assessing data via lag indicators (audits and incidents) to map trends and influence our safety approach.
* Supporting the implementation of safety initiatives and new technologies to improve culture and performance using HammerTech.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Demonstrated practical construction-related safety coordination/management experience and knowledge, delivering small to large projects; built form (preferably), civil construction or infrastructure for government and/or private clients.
* Relevant WHS industry qualifications and certificates.
* Collaborative communication skills consistent with effective consultation, influencing and relationship building.
* Competent computer and system skills - HammerTech training provided.
* Experience working on multiple new build construction projects start to finish.
* Australian construction experience - New build construction experience is a must.
* Must have worked for a Tier 1,2 or 3 Builder and have worked on commercial projects over $20 mil.
