The opportunity
Our client is a community focused federal government agency. They have an exciting opportunity available for an APS5 Quality Officer to join the Performance Management & Quality Branch in supporting the uplift of Continuous Improvement & Quality Management Framework.
Labour Hire hourly rate spanning an initial 12 months, with the opportunity to extend. APS5 level role paying an hourly rate of + Superannuation, to be based out of our client's Brisbane location.
On offer is 2 days working from home, with 3 on site, hours expected are an average of hours across a 5-day working week.
About the role
The APS5 Quality Officer is accountable under limited supervision to undertake moderately complex to complex work. Legislation, policies, procedures, standards, methodologies and precedents guide the position.
The position is a team membership position and is accountable for organising their workflow and making independent decisions relating to an area of responsibility. The position will be required to provide policy advice within an area of specialisation with advice based on policies and legislation.
Responsibilities will include
1. Managing a range of moderately complex to complex quality reviews
2. Providing professional and technical commentary to review findings to improve decision making, planning practice and performance
3. Conducting quality assurance and quality control activities in relation to planning processes and/or decision making
4. Supporting and mentoring team members to enhance quality and correctness of technical skills and knowledge
5. Assisting to develop and implement improvement strategies to deliver branch goals and strategic objectives
About you
6. Australian citizenship is a requirement to be eligible for this position
7. Public sector or disability experience highly advantageous
8. Demonstrated experience with Excel
9. Analysis experience highly advantageous
